اسطنبول – (ARAB NEWSWIRE) - أظهرت الأبحاث أن اتباع نظام غذائي صحي يساهم في الصحة الجيدة للدماع والصحة العامة. تكشف الدراسات أن الجوز يمكن أن يكون جزءًا من الأنماط الغذائية التي تلعب دورًا مفيدًا في الوظيفة إلادراكية وحالات التنكس العصبي مثل مرض الزهايمر.1

على وجه التحديد، قامت دراسة جديدة تعتمد على الخلايا عام 2022 قبل السريرية بالتحقيق في العلاقة بين الجوز والوظيفة الإدراكية وتشير النتائج إلى أن زيت الجوز قد يلعب دورًا في تقليل علامات تطور مرض الزهايمر.2

في حين أن نتائج هذه الدراسة تظهر ارتباطًا واعدًا، يجب إجراء أبحاث إضافية بما في ذلك التجارب السريرية البشرية، والتي هي ضرورية لفهم التأثير على البشر بشكل كامل.

بالإضافة إلى ذلك، وجدت الأبحاث الجارية أن تناول أطعمة معينة مثل الجوز قد يكون مرتبطًا بما يلي:

  • تحسين الوظيفة إلادراكية والذاكرة في الفئات المعرضة بشدة لخطر الإصابة بالضعف الإدراكي المرتبط بالعمر.
  • الحد من خطر الإصابة بأمراض أخرى مثل أمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية أو مرض السكري من النوع الثاني، وهي عوامل خطر تزيد فرصة الإصابة بالخَرَف.
  • الحد من خطر الإصابة أو تأخير ظهور أو إبطاء تطور مرض الزهايمر (AD)

هذه النتائج تستدعي إجراء أبحاث إضافية من أجل فهم واضح للدور الذي قد تلعبه الأطعمة مثل الجوز في دعم الفوائد المحتملة للوظيفة الإدراكية والحد من خطر الإصابة بأمراض أخرى.

تشير الأبحاث الناشئة من الدراسات ما قبل السريرية والدراسات البشرية إلى أن تناول حوالي أونصةً واحدةً من الجوز (حوالي حفنة) يوميًا يظهر أقوى الفوائد المحتملة لصحة الدماغ.3

في حين أن البحث أسفر عن نتائج إيجابية، فقد أجريت هذه الدراسة على الحيوانات، لذلك لا يمكن بعد ربط النتائج بالبشر. يتم توفير الدراسات الحيوانية كخلفية وتستخدم لصياغة فرضيات للبحوث الإضافية اللازمة لتحديد التأثيرات على البشر.

أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية (WHO) الخرف كمرض ذات أولوية من خلال برنامج العمل المتعلق بفجوة الصحة العقلية. يعد الخرف -بما في ذلك مرض الزهايمر- أحد أكبر تحديات الصحة العامة العالمية التي تواجه جيلنا. وباعتبار السكان شبابًا نسبيًا، فإن الوعي بمرض الزهايمر منخفض في جميع أنحاء دول الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا (MENA). يقدر تقرير منظمة الصحة العالمية عن الخرف أن السكان في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا سيشهدون زيادة بنسبة 125 ٪ في الحالات بحلول عام 2050 ويقدر أن ما يقرب من 6 ٪ ممن تزيد أعمارهم عن 60 عامًا يعانون منه. إنه مرض مُدمر، وسيتعين على هذه المناطق في نهاية المطاف مواجهة العبء المتزايد لمرض الزهايمر مع تقدم السكان في العمر بشكل طبيعي. ويُشار أيضًا إلى أن منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا قد تواجه عبء مرض الزهايمر والخرف المرتبط به في وقت مبكر بكثير من الغرب.4

في الحالات مثل مرض الزهايمر، قد لا تظهر العلامات والأعراض إلا في وقت متأخر من الحياة. إن تبني عادات بسيطة ومغذية في وقت مبكر من الحياة والقيام بها في كثير من الأحيان مثل تناول الجوز يمكن أن يكون عملاً واعدًا قد يفيد بالوظيفة إلادراكية وحالات التنكس العصبي.

لقد تم تمويل لجنة الجوز في كاليفورنيا -والتي تأسست عام 1987- من خلال التقييمات الإلزامية للمزارعين. تمثل اللجنة أكثر من 4500 مزارعًا و90 معالجًا (مجهزًا) للجوز في كاليفورنيا وتشارك في أنشطة تنمية سوق التصدير وتجري أبحاثًا صحية. تعتبر اللجنة بمثابة وكالة تابعة لولاية كاليفورنيا وتعمل بالتنسيق مع مدير إدارة الأغذية والزراعة بكاليفورنيا(CDFA).
